Ilyas Serter

I build systems that let AI agents ship software — end to end.

I started my software engineering journey 2 decades ago in high-school (2005).
I studied IT/Programming in college and worked 12+ years full-time as a full-stack developer since graduation.

With 2 decades of experience in web software engineering, I'm now an AI-native software engineer.
I fell in love with the opportunities of LLMs three years ago when GPT 3.5 was released. I've gone deep on prompt engineering, RAG, agentic coding, multi-agent orchestration, MCPs, building my own tools/workflows and such.

These days I focus on harness engineering, spending less time writing code by hand and more time building the leverage that lets AI agent fleets own whole workflows: reusable skills, rules, context, and self-verifying harnesses — then directing and reviewing the output.
